The NYght 2014

2nd May 2014;

It's been so damn long since I last blogged legitly, so tadah, here I am with The Nyght 2014! /Fresh/ from the oven since it happened just yesterday nyght. My gosh, I am so lame. Prior to the concert, we had normal curriculum ((duh)), yesterday was a killer man I swear. We had 7 hours of Science lessons - 3 hours of Biology, 2 hours of Math and 2 hours of Chemistry. I felt so damn tired already, but we still have to attend PE after that excruciating 7 hours of suffering. Pfft. We were supposed to play games and train for sports Carnival but ended up doing physical training for Napha. Right, This is getting really wordy because I have OCD and I cannot stand seeing 2 lines before I start posting photos, I think it's really ugly. Hence I'm just going to crap my way through this paragraph . :) Right, so after PE some people went to eat, some went to change, while Liting, Choo and I went to put our bags to queue for The NYght, gosh, the queue was crazy ass long.

After everybody (or almost everybody) came back, we decided to take a group class selfie before the queue started moving. And hey, check out Edmund's selfie skills. ;)

And yep, Kaiqi's wide-angle lens because I stupidly left my fish-eye lens at home on such an important day.

Oh right, the green light was the queue line, it was supposed to allow people to walk up and down the stairs despite the queue. But there obviously wasn't enough space for the whole 1405 to stand so some people stood outside the green line (yours truly)

We were happily queuing and waiting for the others who weren't there yet to come and then I received notification from my OG chat saying that Viresh injured his back so he couldn't join the class for The NYght and was being sent to the hospital. lol, sounded so freaking scary. And yeah, get well soon! Oh and as we were queuing up, we saw a lot of the 36th SC walking in and out of the SC, they were all dressed up and we were like woah, we seemed a little too under-dressed and hobo-ish when compared to them. Oops, but then again, there isn't any specific dress code, so 1405 were just in our PE (mostly the lazy and dirty guys) and the rest changed out into other school based shirts. And I just realized that whenever I take photos with my friends when I meet them up after school or something, I am always, always in the black tee shirt. Urgh, quite irritated with my lack of school based shirts. :( Cannot wait for Class Tee to be approved, OG Tee & Peer Class Tee to be made and also my CCA batch Tee.

When we entered the concert venue (LT4), we realized that most of the seats were taken up and the empty seats are scattered all around the place so we couldn't sit as a claass. :'( So we ended up splitting. But luckily for us, we found a first row VIP view seat, though it was at the corner. But yep, better than getting separated from each other! And yep, endless selfies before the event even began because, selfies are for free. :^)

Oh, we were given free (but not exactly free since we paid $5 for the tickets) glow sticks!! And guess what, perks of sitting at the first row, we took extra glow sticks from the Student Councillors that were in front. :) Thank you. Heh.

Okay, the concert started, then everybody started performing. Gosh some of them were just so good!! And I swear if there is any performances that were screwed up, the fault lies 80% on the LT's sound system. Oh my god, Nanyang should totally invest more money on LT4's sound system man. Previously during SIG concert also like that. /side-eyes/

Oh there was this particular duet that thanked god on stage and sang some Christian songs. The girl's vocal was prolly one of the best last night but, lol I didn't think it was appropriate for them to do that at a school concert. I mean, I'd think it's really sweet if they thanked their family, friends or teachers, but nope.. LOL. Not that I have anything against them or their religion but really now? It just wasn't really appropriate in my opinion. Lol. I swear I totally didn't see /that/ coming. And yep, freedom of speech, citizen journalism.

After some performances from both the group and solo performances, the introduction for the Ms Nanyang and Mr Nanyang started. And oh mY GO D I /SWEAR/ I WAS SO STARSTUCKED. They look so perfect even in our school uniforms. And I was like omg the school uniform looks so nice sudDENLY. And of course the self-esteem plunged to level -1000. But really, they look a lot better in real life than in the campaign posters. LOL.

Then we had an almost-30-minutes break for us to go to the washroom and also to cast our votes for the Ms Nayang, Mr Nanyang, Solo & Group performances category. And guess what that means? SELFIE TIME. Oh yeah, even the queue for casting the votes was so damn long. urgh.

Like I mentioned previously, Shihui and I were a little too weird last nyght so we asked Mr Nanyang (contestant back then but legitly Mr Nanyang now) for a photo. HAHAHA HE IS SO CUTE.

Oh right, did I mention that there is this really cool principal in Nanyang? AHAHA. So, we went up to him and went "Mr Kwek!!! SELFIE WITH US PLEASE" HAHAHA He is so funny and nice please. Sorry Choo, my arm isn't long enought. :(

Went back outside after taking my polaroid photo with my lovelies. And yep, class photo! I wanted to take polaroid with the class but since the lighting was really bad outside and it's too big a group to take in the LT and Viresh wasn't there, so nah, another day maybe.

So Shihui and I were really weird so.. We went to Yan Ming (I'm speaking as if we're friends when he doesn't even know of my existence except for that one time when he texted to inform me of my failure for the interview for 37th SC but okay) and said Shihui wanted to take a photo with him. Then he thought we wanted him to help Shi and I take a photo and I was like "nO, she wants to take a photo with you and I'd help y'all take it" /LOL/ So yep. AWWwwwWWWWwz.

Then being the shameless Charmaine I am, I asked if I could take a photo with him too. meeEEEeps.

I took a photo with the other contestant for Ms Nanyang (I actually voted for her bc I thought she's really cool) but nah not going to post because I look like a potato, no, a deformed potato. :^(

I took a polaroid with Ting too. Credits to Choo for helping! Because the lighting outside the LT was so bad we sneaked into the LT to take (do not that we were supposed to clear the LT for the SC to clear the LT, clear-ception yeah?). Then while we were taking it, some SC walked in on us and we're like, oh woah, awkward. LOL. Yep.

Since the back gate was closed already, Choo and Liting took the train from Lorong Chuan with me.

Then yep, they got off at the next stop and there's me alone, travelling all the way back to Simei. So sad. Oh when I was in the train I realized I lost my specs since I changed to my contacts earlier on. D: I felt so sad and angry because it is my new pair of specs okay. :( Then I called Cun An and asked him to help me check it is in the toilet because that's where I last saw it, but nope it isn't, but still, thank you (and your female friend)! Walla, I'm gonna die. So sad... but when I went home, Guan Hong checked his WA and told me he'd help me ask around and tadah it really was somewhere near the LT toilet. Thank you so much!! and yep good for me. HEH.

Oh, and, surprise surprise, we're prolly gonna audition for The NYght 2015. ;)

Yay, Ting and I. Thanks Choo. At first I really love this polaroid because, I don't know, I just do. Then the longer I stare at it the more I think my mouth is freaking huge, oHMY GAWD. SHRIEKS. :( Oh after my mum saw this she went "Oh wow, she's really tall and you're really short" and I'm just like okAY LOVE YO U TOO MUM.

Yep, I am so in love with this school already.
