June holiday's food hunt!

This post is to dedicated to the '14 Mid-Year June Holidays that is long gone. //I'll be here waiting for you to come back to me next year. Yeah so this basically sums up my holiday minus my overseas holiday, wait actually no, it sums up the times when I actually went out, have nice food and then take pictures of those nice food. So yep!! I'll prolly blog abour my oversea trips another time. Meanwhile, FOOD PORN!

2nd June 2014:

Okay, I met up with my PW group, Choomin and Liting. We kinda finished up on our WR draft 1, took us at least 3 hours from what I can remember. Then we suggested going for lunch together, which is why we ended up at Mad Jacks. It was pretty funny because we went into Hot Tomato first, then we were like "Or do y'all want to eat at Mad Jacks?", then we ended up sneaking out of Hot Tomato to get to Mad Jacks. It's really awkward and funny because we were already seated and flipping through the menu. HAHA

Okay so out of the 6 of us (Wilson left early), 4 of us, Ting, Shi Hui, Yuan Siew & I, ordered their carbonara pasta, Choo ordered beef burger while Aubrey went along with chicken chop. Oh and actually Aubs and I agreed on sharing whatever we ordered and also ordering one set meal to share.

This was supposed to be our chicken chop but we actually specifically told them that we didn't want the black pepper sauce and we wanted to change it to cream sauce, so we obviously requested for them to change it for us.

So yep this is our real chicken chop. P.S. it doesn't taste as good as it looks

Their carbonara is even worse, it's like eating oil with the spaghetti.

To be really honest, their dessert is the best out of everything. If anything, I'll prolly just be back for their desserts. :^)

3rd June 2014:

Okay so PW 0424 met up again the next day. We were supposed to have our bubble-tea hunt as well as conduct our surveys at the various bubble-tea shops but we ended up not hunting for bubble-teas, I forgot why but yeah. We had lunch at New Zealand Natural Ice Cream. Surprise surprise, none of us ate their ice cream. Haha. Yep, we ended up having pastas, and no more carbonara please.

Well okay this is my mince meat curry spaghetti. It taste heavenly (as compared to the carbonara from yesterday)!!

So after eating and conducting our surveys, we figured that it was rather a waste of time if we keep conducting surveys in real life so we ended up sending out the links to our e-surveys. The responds came in a lot faster as compared to doing survey one to one in real life. And to be honest, I'm rather put off by those little kiddos that claimed they are "busy" while they are waiting for their freaking bubble-teas. Freaking kids, yes yes, they're younger than us. rolls. Then after that we ended up going to The National Library to get our materials. Then Shi Hui left early and then followed by Yuan Siew.

Shared this pathetic but delicious cheesecake stick with my dearest food-buddy, Aubs. Then after that I headed home while Wilson and Aubrey went to meet up with the other people from class to watch X-men. Felt really bad for not going because everybody was like "but you're the Class Bonding Advocate" oh no you don't do that to me. >:( But okay anyway, I didn't want to go because I didn't watch any of the X-men series other than the very first one so I'm pretty sure I won't understand what's going on when I'm watching it. And also, I'm really tired. Sorry 1405 you know I love y'all still right?

5th June 2014:

Went back to school again for Econs project. Now we're really efficient when it comes to Econs okay, pretty much finished up our project within 3 hours or lesser. Efficient group is efficient. Anyway, after we're done we ended up watching some Lady Gaga MV (Wilson started it) then Choo was a little disgusted by some of the MV I guess. HAHAHA SHE'S FUNNY BECAUSE I HEARD SHE DELETED ALL OF LADY GAGA'S SONGS THAT NIGHT AFTER WATCHING THE MV. Hilarious.

Choo didn't have lunch with us, she left early. So I ended up having lunch at the prata house near our school with Shi Hui and Ting.

One cheese and one plain prata, perfect combi. Btw one does not simply eat prata without sugar.

Yeah we eat a lot so we ordered a mee goreng to share.

Then Shi Hui went home while Ting came to my house. She's really nice y'see. She helped me pack my room and my study table. Haha, love her. Okay my room is really messy with my notes all over the place. Ended up digging up some files to keep my notes for the respective subjects inside. Oh and I realize I do not have a place to store my GP stuffs and there's a crazy ass amount of things to store for GP. Tragic story to be honest. Then we left and headed to Pasir Ris where Ting had to take a bus home while I met Hao Wei for dinner.

8th June 2014:

Okay nothing much but I went to the market with my parents. The Tampines round market. I swear this is the best prawn noodles ever. Their chili and soup are the best. Not even kidding.

10th June 2014:

Whoop. Met up with the bestie to study. Kinda (~~or maybe very)~~ fail study date because we spent more than half of the time trying to decide on where to have lunch. We settled for this Japanese Restaurant at Changi City Point, Ichiban Sushi. It's pretty expensive and all but it taste great of course.

Okay so both of us ordered the garlic chicken set which comes the don, miso soup, tofu and salmon sashimi. Super filling and yummy. :)

Then we went up to Kou Fu to study. And guys I swear that's the best place to study at okay? Super conductive environment. But we didn't study much that day to be honest. Then we went to eat yami yogurt. Whoop.

13th June 2014:

Met LiTing at City Hall then we headed to Raffles City Tower for the National Gallery Singapore Focus Group. I guess it's a really good experience. It was rather awkward because everybody in the group are like really smart and eloquent. Theres a few teachers, 1 university student, 1 weird woman from god knows where and a few other teenage girls. We had to voice up our opinions then help the NGS with their website design. And surprise surprise, this Li Ting didn't give a single opinion AT ALL. Zz she kept quiet throughout the whole discussion group, omg girl please. The only thing she said was "ouch" when the random woman said something rather insultive towards some Japanese Museum site. Ting I brought you along for the voucher and also for the experience but you're like this.. Sigh!!

okay we're given our $50 Kinokuniya gift voucher. YAY.

Yeah then I went over to her house and we had lunch at a place near her house. Finding beauty in mixed rice because all food are beautiful, and we do not food-discriminate. I went over to her place, wanted to study but we ended up watch some really ridiculous videos then I fell asleep. After I woke up I did a few math questions before heading for tuition. It's pretty near to her house, took a direct bus there.

18th June 2014:

Hong Kong boy returned from Hong Kong with my 老婆餅! whoop whoop! Haha it's really nice how he's moved to Simei from Eunos, have been catching up with him more often since he moved here. Make sure he buys me this everytime he goes back, except for that one time last year when he was rushing for the plane. Hoyin is so nice.

19th June 2014:

Finally, finally, FINALLY watching TFIOS. Okay so early in the morning Ting WA me telling me that the seats at Downtown East are running out fast. And from what I remembered, Viresh and friends were at DTE so I ended up asking him for help. Asked him to help us get the tickets, and Viresh being Virech obviously came up with a lot of terms, almost as if I'm getting him to help us pay but obviously not because I'm pretty sure I handed him $14. Okay it was awkward to the very max when I met him to get the tickets at Tamp because he's with all his friends and yeah I'm socially awkward, especially with guys. Then I met up with Ting for lunch at the foodcourt at DTE, we wanted to go to subway but it was full house already since it was lunch time.

Always say yes to pork ribs.

Then yeah, the movie, it waS AWESOME. But of course it isn't as good as the book since it was quite rushed IMO and a few scenes were cut out. When I say rush, I mean like, when Augustus and Hazel had sex in Amsterdam and everything was so happy and then all of a sudden Gus told Hazel he lights up like a Christmas tree the next day. The two scenes were like less than 10 minutes apart? But yeah, guess who cried when Gus said the Christmas tree nonsense? hint: not Li Ting.

Then being the nice friend I am, I brought her to Tampines to try our J.co since she said she has never been there before.

Ordered 2 why nut? (white chocolate and peanut butter) donuts and 2 cold chocolate drinks. mmmmm I swear white nut is the best donut flavor out there. I just love peanut butter so damn much.

20th June 2014:

Okay so it's skip-AM and bond with 3 quarter of your family day. Went to Tampines to settle some stuff and then had lunch at Tampines with my brother and my mother. Of course my father wasn't there, he was working. Went to pizza hut. When was the last time I even ate pizza hut? All the pizzas I've been eating nowadays are from Canadian pizza or Dormino's pizza.

Cream of mushroom was the bomb.

Uhm yeah, drumlets. Nice.

Their garlic bread tasted so good and it was so hot as well so mmm.

22nd June 2014:

Went to shop a little at 313 with my family and then trying out llao llao for the very first time, and boy it was nice!!! But my insisted that Yami Yogurt is still the best frozen yogurt ever so okay.

Chocolate sauce was too sweet by the way. Maybe next time I'll ask if I can trade the sauce for a crunch..

24th June 2014:

Met up with the two best study buddies ever. Okay, Nat and Haowei actually. Met them at the prata house near Nat's house.

Is it just me or is Milo Dinosaur really overpriced? But okay, it was lukewarm and I love it so it's fine.

Nat and I ordered prata while Haowei settled for Roti John ad bandung. Oh then as we were eating, a group of Temaskians from 406'13 came looking for us because I tweeted about us being there and Simpang Bedok is practically the Temasekian area. It was awkward for me because I don't really know them but Nat and Haowei do so they were like talking and I'm like mostly like "can I disappear now?". Right, I'm quite socially awkward if you haven't already noticed by now.

29th June 2014:

It's the official "last day of holiday" but it isn't exactly my last day or holiday because I didn't have any papers on Monday so I ended up going to the office.

and of course, sexy salmon sushi for supper.
